Fun craft ideas to keep the kids amused during the holidays.

If your household is anything like our household you’ll be on the lookout for ideas to entertain the kids at half term. One thing you can be sure of, the weather is bound to be a let-down so a few indoor activities will be a good idea. We’ve come up with this list at Lush and Green, they’re craft-based ideas designed to save your sanity.

Make yourself rabbits: Take a look at the ‘Carrot Crew’ in our paper and card section and you’ll find a motley gang of make-them-yourself rabbits that take around 5 – 10 minutes to complete depending on your ability! All you need is a pair of scissors, a ruler and a splodge of glue to bring these cute little paper characters to life.

Pop out Indian: Another great item you’ll find in our paper and card section. You can send this great little card as a gift or simply get your children to piece the pop out card together and they have a fun feature to play with or place on display in their room.

Japanese paper balloons: Kids love blowing up balloons and watching the air escape from them so your brood are bound to adore the blue fish paper balloon we have for sale at the moment. It comes in flat-pack form and you simply blow in the hole to inflate the shape. The blue fish is part of a range that includes blow up paper whales, monkeys, pandas and pigs, watch in amazement as your kids blow this little chap up time and time again.

Shine lanterns: You might have to help the kids a little with these lanterns because they do require minimal DIY skills. The flaps on the lanterns can be pushed inwards or outwards, you get 3 separate designs and colours and you simply place them over jam jars and pop a tea light in the bottom. The kids will love helping you to make them and there’ll be tons of ‘oohs and aahhs’ when the lanterns are lit.

So there you go, four craft ideas to keep kids amused and the best thing is they’re all available from the Lush and Green site. Happy holidays!
